My darling grandson turns 5 today! Where those years have gone, I just don’t know! He loves anything to do with army; tanks, camouflage, guns etc so I wasn’t surprised when he asked me if I could make him an “army” birthday card. However, he said that this year he wanted a “snow army” card. Snow army? what is that? I had to do a bit of research and I found what he wanted. This is a snow army outfit, a bit different to the normal army camouflage.
To try and get this look I took a piece of whisper white cardstock and using the “splotches” from the High Tide and Love What You Do stamp sets I managed to get a snow army look.
I used grey granite, smoky slate and memento jet black and left areas of white to give the definition. I then used the large letter framelits to cut out his name and adhered them with the strip adhesive to raise the letters up. I cut a strip for the top and one for the bottom with a bit of a “hill” to show terrain on the card. Happy Birthday Archer, I hope you like your card xx
Until next time,
